My name is Gayl. I am a female, single, and straight. I am laid-back usually, go with the flow mostly, but I can be very passionate on certain issues. I very strongly support individual rights. My motto is "be yourself". I really hate stereotyping. I really hate how society tries to force people fit into boxes. That is why I sometimes stand on a soapbox. People have told me that I must have been born on a soapbox, hence my username. If you know me long enough, you will know why. I apologize in advance for sounding preachy at times. I am really a big kid at heart yet old soul, who loves toys, especially dolls, crafts, decor (making my own), almost anything from Japan, and writing. I have really loved blues music all my life, even as a kid. I was born on B.B. King's (my music idol) birthday and therefore born to love the blues. I am used to working with lawyers and engineers. I think of myself as a big nerd. I am a jack of all trades, but I usually think of myself as a scientist. I want to be a toy and craft inventor. I mainly joined LJ to discuss dolls, but I also have a variety of interests and can discuss nearly anything if in the right mood.
